HUSSAIN KANPURWALA
Physiotherapist
Hussain Kanpurwala is a Registered Physiotherapist in British Columbia, registered with the College of Health and Care Professionals of BC, with over nine years of hands-on clinical experience spanning orthopedics, neurology, cardiovascular, and pediatrics. He earned his Bachelor of Physiotherapy from Lovely Professional University, India, and also has completed a Diploma in Kinesiology at Langara College in Vancouver.
Hussain's clinical background spans acute care, long-term care, outpatient clinics, and home care settings across British Columbia. As a physiotherapist he independently assesses patients physical status, functional abilities, and goals; establishes a physiotherapy diagnosis and prognosis; and develops evidence-based, outcome-focused treatment plans. He implements interventions in line with established guidelines, evaluates and documents patient progress against defined goals, and adjusts his approach to help patients regain mobility, reduce pain, and return to daily function. He works closely with Chiropractors, Massage therapist, Kinesiologist, Occupational therapists, physicians, and multidisciplinary teams within the interprofessional care-planning process, and delegates and directs components of treatment to rehabilitation assistants while maintaining oversight of quality care. He is known for a collaborative, patient-first approach and for educating patients and families on recovery, injury prevention, and self-management.Â
Hussain has a particular interest in orthopedic and neurological rehabilitation, and enjoys working with patients across the full age spectrum; from pediatric to geriatric, with a focus on restoring independence, improving quality of life, and supporting each patient's autonomy in their own care.
